ET in the Classroom 2006- Bangalore Edition
ET in the Classroom 2006
Guru Nanak Bhavan, Bangalore
22 February 2006
Quizmaster: Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaniam
If a 7 day/6 nights Goa trip and a fourth page ET coverage is what you had
ever dreamed of, ET in the Classroom was the place to be. The decade long ET
in the Classroom kicked of its 2006 journey with quizzing capital Bangalore
on 22 February 2006.
With Rs 1.1 lakh total prizes at stake, it was not too hard to believe that
the Guru Nank Bhavan was packed with both participants and audience.
After a prelim of 20 questions, quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam (as
exuberant as ever, especially considering his schedule) entertained the
audience with a fantastic breed of questions.
The final six were on expected lines and it was especially nice to see
leading engineering colleges RVCE and UVCE back on stage after a long
hiatus.
After six grueling rounds Centre for Management Studies walked the distance,
thus lifting the ET trophy for a record second time. (CMS is also the first
undergraduate college to have won the ET Quiz, some years back)
UVCE and RVCE finishing the top three spots was just another reminder to the
quizzing world of how good engineering colleges can be even in a business
quiz.
The ET Quiz (or should I say Giri and his research team) churned out some
fabulous questions thus keeping the participants on the edge of their seat
and the audience thoroughly entertained.
A completely enjoyable experience yet again.
That’s all from me for now,
Till next time
Adieu Masculine
